Original water buffalo drinking horn with a matching holder! The image is intended to show that the characteristics of each individual drinking horn can vary considerably! Original drinking horns/mead horns! Our drinking horns are made of genuine natural horn (water buffalo horn), all polished on the inside and coated with the required food-grade dye. The unique coloring and shape are individually different for each horn, but correspond in form and visible characteristics to the image. Water buffalo horns have significantly less internal volume due to their structure, but are considerably more stable and simply look much more rustic. Buffalo horns, at the same size as regular cattle horns, have a smaller capacity; they are much thicker and do not extend as deeply as one might assume from the pictures. The horns we offer here are approximately 40 cm long and hold between 0.3 and 0.6 liters.
